The Constitution Committee Concerning the Iraq War (Grundlovskomiteen 2003 vedr. Irak-krigen) supports the 25 plaintiffs behind a lawsuit against the Danish government, claiming that Denmark’s involvement in the war against Iraq was a violation of Article 19 and 20 of the Danish Constitution. So far we have enlisted about 4.000 Danes (out of a population of 5 million) who have given their formal support to the lawsuit, and the number is growing steadily.

The objective of the committee is to ensure the financing of the lawsuit, and to inform the public about the relation between the Danish constitution and Denmark's involvement in the war.

Most of the material on this site is available in Danish only, but the following four articles will give you an impression of the basis and implications of the lawsuit.
